TERMS OF SERVICE

Please read this information carefully before submitting to Bookmarked Media. Submission to Bookmarked Media indicates you have read and agree with all of the terms and conditions outlined on this page. This notice is effective as of August 1, 2018.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

Please format submissions with standard margins, double-spacing, and 12 point Times New Roman font. Please send as Word .doc or .docx attachments. We do not offer transcription services and will not transcript and/or type your written content. All manuscript reviewing and editing is done electronically. We construct our notes in a Word document and use the track changes function to make additional comments. Please make sure you are comfortable using Microsoft Word before submission.

TIMEFRAME

Barring unforeseen circumstances, we will return feedback on manuscript critique submissions on an average of three weeks of receipt.  Rush service may be available. Check with your individual editor if you require a speedy turnaround.

 

PAYMENT

For manuscript critiques, we require a deposit of half the fee before we begin, and the balance upon completion of the project before we email out our notes. We only accept payment via PayPal. We will invoice you, which means in addition to our fees you will pay a small fee to PayPal.

COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT

All submissions received by Bookmarked Media are automatically assumed as copyrighted to you, the author. We will never reproduce your words without your written permission. Bookmarked Media acquires no right to ownership of Author's original submitted work under the terms and conditions of this agreement. The author will retain all rights to the content of the work. 

 

PRIVACY

No personal information exchanged with Bookmarked Media will ever be shared or sold. None of your writing will ever be reproduced online or shared outside of Bookmarked Media without your written permission.

 

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

We reserve the right to politely decline to do in-depth critiques on manuscripts that are not a good fit for us. We specialize in a broad range of topics including fiction, personal growth and inspirational nonfiction. We will decline explicit content and those laden with excessive profanity.

Bookmarked Media reserves the right to modify or amend these Terms of Service at any time with or without notifying you of such changes. The changes will only affect your use of the services after the effective date of the change unless we clearly express otherwise. Your use of the services after Bookedmarked Media provides you with notice of such changes shall be deemed your approval of such changes.
