❖ A basic word-by-word edit that addresses grammar, usage, and consistency issues making sure the material is logical and understandable ❖ A review for spelling errors, linguistic errors, and keen attention to punctuations ❖ Crossing-checking for scripture references, quotes, article links, and various citations ❖ During the copyediting stage, the author chooses what revisions are needed based on the editorial comments provided by the editor. Round I: Your editor will complete a line edit on your manuscript. When you receive the edited manuscript, you’ll have an opportunity to review each of the edits and deletions. You’ll then have the choice to accept or reject them. Round II: Once you have reviewed all the changes in your first round of editing, and made any necessary changes based on notes from the editor, you’ll submit your revised manuscript for a second round of editing. This is beneficial for authors because an editor will be able to see new changes input by the author before going to print.
